New Year's Resolutions
'Tis the season for resolutions for the new year. Never being very good at making, much less keeping New Year's resolutions I find myself attempting it again. As we get older we tend to reflect on decisions made in the past and what the future may bring.

Here are a couple of resolutions I will work on.
1: Work on keeping this blog up to date. In my youth I was under the delusion that what I had to say was important. As I got older it became clear that it wasn't, at least to anyone else. Now the time has come where my opinion is valued in some occassions and if someone wishes to listen I am honored.
2: Use my vacation as intended. This past year and a half my wife, Sharon and I have neglected our vacation to help our nearly eldest son still at home find his way in life. (you have no idea how I struggled finding a PC way of describing that) To our realization we now need the time away and to ourselves that much more. Vacations are more for mental well-being than physical. We will take a very well deserved vacation this year.
3: Re-establishing old friendships and making new. What can I say, no excuses made, I have never been good at long-term friendships. Time to slow down and enjoy the company of others. Bring on the backyard bbq's this summer. Friday Margarita Nights anyone?
This is just a beginning to the list. Over the next few days it will grow and expand. God willing there are several of things on my "bucket list" I would like to cross off this year but that will come in time.
